How do I use HandCraft Pro. on a non-humanoid rig? (wings, tentacles, 4-fingered claws) or for just one hand?

To animate just one hand with a 2-handed 5-fingered rig, you will want to still make selections on both hands of the rig like normal, but when recording, only hold one hand in front of the camera.
Optimize the amount of frames you can capture during recording.
If baking down animation, set Maya to 120 fps before opening the tool. This will allow you to capture smoother animation at the higher framerate. Then you can convert back down to your working framerate after. Remember, you must close the tool and reopen any time you change the Maya working framerate.
